With the NA VCT 2022 season starting soon, 100T finally announced their two new additions: ec1s and BabyJ. With seven released, this left two open positions on the team. Johann "seven" Hernandez had been a substitute for 100T since September and was with the team for a little over three months before being cut. Ultimately that’s exactly what he did and now plays for Team Liquid’s CS:GO team. Unlike steel, who intended to continue playing VALORANT and ultimately ended up on T1, nitr0 was rumored to be mulling a return to Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. The next major part of 100T’s 2021 roster to leave the team was Nicholas “Nitr0” Canella. He had been benched by the team just ahead of the LCQ despite being the IGL of a roster that reached the semis at Masters: Berlin in September. The first major part of 100T’s 2021 roster to be released was Joshua “steel” Nissan. The team also released Aaron "b0i" Thao, who had been a substitute for the team and played with them during the LCQ. FrosT had been placed on competitive probation by Riot Games in March due to “unprofessional behavior towards a Tournament Official.” 100T cut dicey and boiĪlthough Quan "dicey" Tran had been benched since February, 100T finally released him in November. The first domino to fall for 100 Thieves was when they parted ways with coach Hector "FrosT" Rosario. It marked the end of 100T’s 2021 VCT season and the start of their offseason. Despite reaching the semifinals of Masters: Berlin, 100T fell just short of being one of NA’s three representatives at Champions. With a loss in the lower bracket final to Cloud9, 100 Thieves were officially eliminated from contention for Champions. To get you caught up with everything that has happened with 100 Thieves VALORANT since October, here’s a timeline of the most important events involving the team over the past four months. The two players were added during an offseason for 100 Thieves that began when the team was eliminated from the NA Last Chance Qualifier in October. Following another loss Sunday that led to an 0-2 start to the NA VALORANT Champions Tour Stage 1 main event, 100 Thieves announced Monday that they were cutting Adam "ec1s" Eccles and Hunter "BabyJ" Schline. 21, is President’s Day and a holiday for many people in the United States, but if you were expecting a slow news day in VALORANT, think again.
